The Historic Mount Moriah Baptist Church, one of the oldest churches in the City of Camden SC is seeking a Senior Pastor. Our motto is “We know something good about you. God loves you and so do we.”

If you have a passion for ministry, love God, and His people, have a passion to serve, a proven history of servanthood, along with an undergraduate degree (BA, BS) etc. as well as a Master of Divinity degree or its equivalent, we invite you to apply. In addition, three years of experience as a Senior Pastor or its equivalent (Hospital Chaplin, Military Chaplain, Prison Chaplain), etc. is preferred. Jesus declared, upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it (Matt. 16:18). We are looking for a pastor after God’s own heart (Jeremiah 3:15). We want a pastor who is community oriented and is a believer in social justice and can live out what it means to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God (Micah 6:8).

Mount Moriah is a Baptist Church; therefore, we seek an ordained Baptist Pastor, who is grounded in the word of God with moral and spiritual values, integrity, and character beyond reproach (1 Timothy 1: 1-7; Titus 1:6-9) The elected Pastor will serve as the Senior Pastor (Lead Spiritual Officer) for worship services, Spiritual Leadership, Congregational Care, and Community Outreach.

Responsibilities for this position include communicating God’s Word, ministering to the spiritual needs and providing Biblical leadership as required to sustain and grow the church with a view of reaching souls in the community.
